Don't think the 30MB of included data was accurate as it would get used up far quicker than my usage back home. Room wifi was quite slow and disconnected everytime you closed a web browser or didn't use for a minute. The shower overfilled when only used for a few minutes- the drainage in shower is not sufficient. The things i think could be improved are only small things: the bedside light didn't work well- would randomly turn off by itself often. Drinks at the bars were very reasonably priced. The gym was ok- though very small if the hotel is full. The pools are fantastic! The maze onsite was fun and the bar was great. The staff were friendly enough though not exceptional as i've seen in other 5 star resorts. The breakfasts were fantastic- definitely good value and quality. Bath was nice and soaps/scrubs/shampoos were great. The bed is very comfortable and room looked nicely decorated and clean. It is close to so many things- the Pilanesberg game reserve, wave park and hot air ballooning. Very acceptable but not as good as the Palace. Had a meal at Sirocco the restaurant at one of the other Hotels the Cascades. Not likely to stay again as this was a one off before going to Cape Town but it was a great experience and if in Johannesburg for a few days would definitely stay at the Palace as opposed to the Sun City Hotel which was not as nice ( one arm bandits every where. We booked a Pilanesberg Safari through the Hotel and they provided transport. Rooms very acceptable although television programme availability was not very good. Pool area excellent, with bar service provided. The waitresses were always smiling.A great experience. Masses of fruit, six different bowls of yoghurt, stacks of different breads and pastries and the usual cooked food and pancake stations. The very large Breakfast Room is magnificent and the Buffet Breakfast was the most sumptuous that we had ever experienced. We went for 4 nights before going down to Cape Town.Very helpful and friendly check in staff.
